FlightStats® Alerts API transitions from Beta to Production

The FlightStats® Flex Alerts API has transitioned from Beta to production status. Production status means three things to those who have been using the Alerts API Beta:

  1. The API is considered stable for development. No compatibility-breaking changes will be introduced from this point forward. Customers can expect to see some new developer tools emerge over the next week or so that will allow developers to test their rules by having test messages sent to an end point of the developer's choosing.
  2. FlightStats is offering the Alerts API for free during the month of February.
  3. Requests against the Alerts API will incur fees starting on March 1, 2013, according to your pricing plan with FlightStats. Standard pricing (Commercial and Limited Plans) will be as follows:

Number of rules (per month):1–50,00050,001–500,000>500,001
Price per request ($USD):$0.10 each$0.06 each$0.03 each

An alternative pricing method based upon the number of messages sent is available in certain cases. There is also a special package price available to airlines. Contact FlightStats sales for a quote.
